Company Description:

Fortier Stark Industrial has been servicing and producing top quality food and dairy equipment to the greater Ottawa area since 2016! We are currently in growth mode, and are looking to add more Fabricator/TIG Welders to our team.

At this point, we are open to hiring candidates with experience, as well as taking on apprentices to train and grow with us.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineered drawings to determine welding techniques and practices
• Use measuring instruments to ensure parts conform to specifications on drawings
• Use saw as required to modify components or missing pieces
• Work under minimal supervision to achieve desirable results
• Ensure all finished components are free of burrs, shavings and sharp edges
• Ensure all components are welded with no missing features and correct to finish sizes
• Must ensure welding is completed company standard

Qualifications:

• Lay out, fit and weld fabricated parts and raw material to assemble such components as machinery frames and assemblies
• Knowledge of stainless steel welding practices
• Must be able to read blueprints and prepare set-ups
• Ability to take direction and work in a fast-paced environment
• Frequent standing, bending, twisting, crouching, and lifting
• Strong communication skills
• Maintain welding equipment and a clean and tidy work area
• Ability to operate TIG Welder
• Ability to operate a saw, drill press and angle grinder
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Able to work overtime
• Able to work at heights

Job Types: Permanent, Apprenticeship, Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$36.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Winchester, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Tig welding: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• G drivers license (required)
