Job Description

Our client, a leader in the food manufacturing space, is currently hiring for a Regulatory Compliance Manager to join their growing team. This position is for a fast-growing, global manufacturing company with over 800 employees.

Responsibilities:

• Provide regulatory leadership in areas such as labeling, food safety, food additives, flavors, and claims regulations.
• Utilize internal and external tools and systems to evaluate ingredients and formulas, making proactive, risk-based decisions.
• Manage a team of regulatory subject matter experts, offering support, tools, advice, and technical recommendations to the US and International Regulatory teams and cross-functional business partners.
• Collaborate with Legal, Quality, R&D, Sales, and Corporate Communications.
• Develop team structure and establish personnel development and growth initiatives.
• Lead and participate in task teams and communities of practice related to areas of expertise.
• Identify and lead the development and continuous improvement of PDM/business processes to enable global labeling, regulatory evaluations, and compliance to claims.
• Support externally on priority topics to advocate for the company.
• Act as a backup for the Regulatory Compliance Director as a member of the US and International Regulatory and Scientific Affairs leadership teams.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of regulatory experience in the food industry. This role is hybrid in Chicago and offers a highly competitive compensation structure.
