Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manual QA Engineer with hands-on experience in ALM Octane to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, documenting, and executing test cases and test scenarios to ensure the quality and functionality of our software applications.

Job Title - Manual QA Engineer

Location - St. Louis -MO - Onsite 4 days a week

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business and technical requirements to develop comprehensive test cases and test scenarios .
• Create and manage manual test cases in ALM Octane , ensuring traceability to requirements and user stories.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand features and workflows.
• Execute test cases, log defects, and track them to closure using ALM Octane.
• Participate in test planning , test execution , and test reporting activities.
• Perform regression testing , smoke testing , and exploratory testing as needed.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation standards.
• Work closely with automation engineers to identify candidates for test automation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in manual software testing .
• Strong experience with ALM Octane or similar test management tools.
• Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test scenarios .
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies .
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC .
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Gherkin syntax and BDD practices.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integration with test management tools.
• Knowledge of JIRA , Confluence , or similar tools.
