Piping Designer

Bradley County, TN

$80,000-$105,000 plus benefits

We are seeking an experienced Piping Designer to support plant and engineering projects across multiple chemical production facilities. This role requires hands-on fieldwork, strong design skills, and the ability to work in brownfield environments , integrating new systems into existing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop general arrangement layouts, piping isometrics, and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
• Create 3D piping models for project reviews.
• Perform field visits to gather accurate measurements, assess existing conditions, and ensure feasibility.
• Ensure designs align with ASME and API codes and support proper equipment access for maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineers to refine project scope and deliverables.
• Update and create as-built drawings for P&IDs and piping layouts.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in design, drafting, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in piping design within the chemical industry or a related field .
• Experience in brownfield environments —ability to integrate new designs into existing facilities.
• Field experience required —must be comfortable performing site visits, gathering data, and verifying designs.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Cad WORX or Plant 3D preferred).
• Strong knowledge of ASME and API codes , with the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
