Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service. Prepares various foods for the Market Grille and is responsible for all hot foods and cold foods including available heat-and-eat varieties. Reports to District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Manager of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home, Food Service Manager, Market Grille Department Manager, Assistant Market Grille Department Manager. Primary duties include greeting customers, assisting customers with products, answering telephone calls, working as a team, preparing cooking surfaces, vegetables, sides, meats, breakfast foods, placing food in hot cases, taking guest orders, preparing items for upcoming shifts, maintaining sanitation and cleanliness, adhering to hygiene and dress guidelines, and reporting to work on time. Secondary duties include providing direct customer service, ordering products and supplies, assisting in other store areas, and performing other job-related duties. Requires ability to solve practical problems, perform simple math, follow instructions, and communicate effectively. Education: High school or equivalent. Experience: Six months or less of similar or related work experience. Physical requirements include exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and performing various physical activities. Working conditions include exposure to cool and warm environments, noise, equipment hazards, cleaning chemicals, and a fast-paced work environment. Equipment used includes grill, toaster, coffee machine, fryer, flat top stove, oven, steamer, chopper, hot case, kitchen utensils, knives, stove, chicken roaster, can opener, and C.A.R.S. reordering system.
