The Washington Center for Equitable Growth is a nonprofit research and grantmaking organization dedicated to advancing evidence-backed ideas and policies that promote strong, stable, and broad-based economic growth. Ensure work is on track to meet stated organizational and program objectives, key results, and funding deliverables. Advancing evidence-backed policy and policy proposals by doing policy-relevant research and applying the best available academic research to policy debates. Engaging with people in government as well as other stakeholders to explain the evidence behind certain policy ideas or concepts. Connecting with people at other think tanks and advocacy organizations to collaborate on policy work. Supporting scholars in the Equitable Growth network and beyond to make work relevant for policymakers. Representing Equitable Growth to the media, policymakers, and other outside stakeholders. Attending academic conferences and maintaining relationships with the academic community and other professional economists and policymakers. Supporting Equitable Growth's competitive grant program and commissioned research series by providing intellectual guidance, solicitations, and review as necessary. Other duties as assigned. Proven ability to communicate evidence-based policy guidance to key stakeholders, including policymakers, advocates, and the media in a non-technical way.
