About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (DCISO) to join their team. The successful candidate will be a seasoned cybersecurity leader with a strategic mindset, capable of managing enterprise security and risk programs, and leading security operations and risk management teams. Key responsibilities for the DCISO include providing leadership and oversight in security and risk initiatives, governing controls across distributed environments, and representing the organization in support of the Chief Information Security Officer. The role also involves leading incident response efforts, evaluating and disseminating threat intelligence, maturing vulnerability management programs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Applicants for the DCISO position at the company should have a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in computer science or a related IT field, with a minimum of 3 years' of progressive experience in IT security, including 2 years' of supervisory experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security disciplines, security governance, and relevant regulatory guidelines. Experience in the public service sector and certifications related to security are preferred. The role requires a strategic thinker with both technical expertise and leadership skills, capable of enhancing security training, developing security standards, and evaluating security measures for IT projects. The DCISO will play a critical role in protecting the organization's digital infrastructure and must be prepared for an onsite, hybrid work schedule, including on-call duties when necessary.
