Compensation: Commensurate with experience Curator Arts Bonita seeks a highly motivated, creative arts professional to oversee exhibitions at the Arts Bonita Gallery and manage the Arts Bonita Gallery Boutique, which highlights and promotes local artists’ work. This part‑time position focuses on curating exhibitions, coordinating installations, developing community collaborations, managing the selection and rotation of artwork in the Gallery Boutique, and supporting Arts Bonita’s fundraising and community engagement initiatives. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Curator will work with artists, judges, curators, and community partners to ensure all exhibitions and boutique offerings meet professional standards, advance Arts Bonita’s mission, and engage diverse audiences. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate planning, scheduling, installation, and de‑installation of exhibitions. Oversee the Arts Bonita Gallery Boutique , including artist selection, rotation of works, and presentation standards to ensure a dynamic and high‑quality showcase. Develop and maintain relationships with local and regional artists to promote and feature their work. Select and schedule judges for curated and juried exhibitions to ensure professional quality and credibility. Collaborate with the Off The Walls Committee to engage the arts community and secure artwork donations in support of fundraising efforts. Work with curators, judges, and community partners to strengthen exhibitions and artist opportunities. Provide images and copy to marketing staff for promotion of exhibitions and boutique offerings. Coordinate exhibition opening receptions and related events. Support member artists by identifying additional opportunities for exhibitions, including off‑site placements. Maintain strong communication with volunteers and staff to ensure smooth operations. Stay current with visual arts industry trends and community opportunities. Status: Part‑time (approx. 20 hours/week; flexible schedule with some evenings/weekends for receptions and events).
