Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Project Manager to support project execution and customer communication while gaining experience for a future transition into a sales role. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, thrives under pressure, and has a passion for both project management and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Help maintain and update the production schedule, including tracking project statuses and progress.
• Manage project-related tasks such as ordering long lead-time materials, distributing approval drawings, and following up on payments.
• Monitor deliverables to ensure on-time completion and compliance with project requirements.
• Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams (sales and engineering) to ensure clear communication and customer satisfaction.
• Assist the sales team with cost estimating for future projects and proposals.
• Track key inventory items and coordinate with purchasing to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Maintain a consistent on-site presence, Monday through Friday, in our Houston office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, or a related industry preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a positive, customer-focused attitude.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
