ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an immediate opening for Maintenance Technician. The El Paso Water Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance of all water park equipment to ensure safe operations. This position will focus on repair, inspection and troubleshooting all water park attractions and establish a preventative maintenance program. Each water park location features a unique theme with water slides, climbing walls, lazy rivers, kiddie playgrounds and leisure pools. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include maintaining the highest standard of safety on all water park attractions in accordance with all safety related policies; ensuring all water chemistry is within CDC and local health department guidelines; providing daily safety inspections on water park attractions and equipment; operation and maintenance of all water park attractions and equipment; completing preventative maintenance, repairs and inspections; maintaining records of maintenance logs, inspections, chemical logs, and checklists; ensuring code compliance inspections and licenses are current; maintaining aquatic areas; responding to work orders including painting, pressure washing, and landscaping; adhering to OSHA, NFPA and other safety codes; maintaining life/fire safety systems; reporting needed repairs; completing company trainings; maintaining high standards and professional appearance; working extended and irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays; recognizing and responding to emergencies; maintaining certifications and staying updated professionally; and performing other related duties as assigned. Qualifications include being 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED; ability to read measurements and calculate chemical dosing; preferred two years’ experience in water quality/chemistry for pools or water parks; preferred Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or Aquatics Facility Operator (AFO) certification; knowledge in HVAC, pumps, hydraulics, drainage, pool filtration, chemical controllers, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry; excellent communication skills; flexibility; organizational and interpersonal skills; licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the US; and ability to work flexible schedules. Physical demands include verbal communication, walking, climbing, kneeling, heavy lifting, and working indoors and outdoors under adverse conditions. The position offers a competitive salary.
