Hours: Full-Time | Hybrid (up to 2 days remote/week)

Compensation $185-$225 + discretionary bonus

About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established and growing organization with multiple locations nationwide, is seeking a
Vice President of Finance
to join their leadership team. This is a highly visible role with a clear
track to CFO, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company’s strategic and financial direction.

The organization is projected to exceed
$500M in revenue within the next year, has a strong legacy of employee loyalty, and fosters a culture rooted in accountability and ownership.

The leadership team is seeking a hands-on financial executive who is willing to
“roll up their sleeves”
— someone who will deeply understand the business, master the numbers, and learn the roles of their team before effectively delegating responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

As Vice President of Finance, you will serve as a
strategic leader
and trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team. Core duties include:

  • Oversee all financial functions including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, audits, and compliance.
  • Direct the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze financial performance, comparing actuals to projections, and implement adjustments to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities for growth, operational improvements, and new initiatives.
  • Lead relationships with external partners such as auditors, banks, and regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee investment activities and capital strategies to support expansion.
  • Drive process improvements, operational efficiencies, and centralized financial operations across multiple entities.
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team (5 direct reports, including a Controller).
  • Provide mentorship and hands-on support while fostering a collaborative, accountable culture.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • CPA required (active or lapsed)
  • Minimum of 10 years in accounting or finance leadership roles
  • Proven ability to build and lead teams
  • Willingness to be both strategic and hands-on
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, and analysis
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • Must live within a reasonable commuting distance to Albany, OR

Preferred:

  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Background in organizations with multi-entity financial structures

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $185-$225K
  • Bonus: Discretionary, based on company performance
  • Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. with flexibility for personal needs and hybrid remote 2 days a week.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive package provided

Why This Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a financial leader ready to take on a
key succession role toward CFO
within a financially strong, culturally rich organization. The executive team is long-tenured and deeply invested in the company’s future, making this a highly collaborative and strategically important role.
