American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Long Term Care for a travel nursing job in Kalispell, Montana.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift position in a skilled nursing facility, requiring a MT or compact RN license and BLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Position is in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) with 110 beds
  • Covers both Long-Term Care (LTC) and Transitional Care Unit (TCU) patient populations including geriatrics and post-acute med/surg cases
  • Patient ratios are LTC: 1:20 days, 1:38 nights; TCU: 1:12 days, 1:15 nights
  • Uses Meditech and Caretracker EMR systems
  • 12-hour night shifts (1830-0700)
  • Required to float between TCU and LTC units
  • Weekend shifts required as needed to balance the schedule
  • No on-call requirements
  • Team support includes CNAs, medication aides, a resident care manager (charge nurse) on weekdays, and hospital resources for phlebotomy and IV/VAT
  • Responsibilities include medication pass, wound care, IV administration, catheter and suctioning care, and charge nurse duties as needed
  • Orientation is 1 to possibly 2 shifts
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Team-oriented work culture with strong support structures
  • Holiday coverage required as needed
  • Parking is available onsite
  • First-time travelers may be considered with relevant LTC or SNF experience

  • Active MT or compact RN license required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year RN experience required
  • Experience in LTC or SNF preferred, especially for first-time travelers
  • Proficient in medication administration, wound care, IV skills, catheter care, and suctioning
  • Must be comfortable performing charge nurse responsibilities
  • Familiarity with Meditech and Caretracker EMR systems preferred
