Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Home Health RN with at least two years of home health and prior travel experience, licensed in WI or compact states.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a home health setting based primarily in Wausau, WI
• Day shifts are 8 hours, generally 8:00am to 4:30pm with some flexibility based on census
• Average caseload is 20-25 patients with approximately 4.5 visits per day
• Travel within a territory of 25-60 miles per day depending on census and staffing
• Required to work every 5th weekend and participate in holiday rotation
• No on-call requirement
• May float to Medford, Antigo, or WI Rapids as needed
• OASIS is required for charting; Epic experience is preferred
• Duties include OASIS admissions, episode management, coordination of care, and timely EMR documentation
• Must demonstrate strong time management, resilience, social skills, dependability, and a positive attitude
• Scrub color requirement is navy blue
• No radius rule applies to this position
• Holiday and weekend coverage is required as specified
• Eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable time, with potential call-back if needed
• Orientation week hours are not guaranteed if the unit is closed for holidays

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active WI or compact RN license
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum 2 years of home health RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with OASIS documentation required
• OASIS certification is a plus
• References from two supervisors required
• Proficient in wound care, IV therapy, ports, lab draws, and chronic disease management
