North American Construction Services, Ltd. is hiring a full-time Tool and Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team in Pinson/Birmingham, AL.

• Manages tool, equipment, and consumable inventory.
\n
• Fulfills tool and equipment lists for jobs.
\n
• Maintains accurate tool, equipment, and asset inventory records and job logs.
\n
• Maintains tools and equipment by performing minor repairs or tagging for maintenance inoperative devices and completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions.
\n
• Maintains equipment to ensure safe operation (check fluid levels, tire pressure, proper guarding, electrical test, air test etc.).
\n
• Comply with company calibration process and updates log.
\n
• Efficiently manage time and meet specified deadlines.
\n
• Operate various hand tools and construction equipment such as grinders, skill saws, table saws, mixers, oxy-acetylene torches, vibrators, impacts, etc.
\n
• Load equipment containers and tool trailers properly with proper forms and inventory as they return from jobsites.
\n
• Maintain excellent communication with all parties involved with tool and equipment processes such as Project Managers, Superintendents, Purchasing and Logistics, Maintenance.
\n
• Keeping field respirators and hard hats clean.
\n
• Label and Tag equipment and storage areas in a neat and efficient manner.
\n
• Perform / Assist with all monthly, quarterly and routine inspections and documentation for equipment such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, ladders, harnesses, lifting equipment, power tools, cords and hoses.

• Proven experience working with tools and equipment maintenance.
\n
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and cleaning instructions.
\n
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
\n
• Database Management.
\n
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
\n
• Experience operating fork lifts for loading and unloading purposes.
\n
• Considerable knowledge of tools, equipment maintenance and standard practices of the trade.
\n
• Excellent communication skills via text and email.
\n
• Strong sense of urgency as it relates to completing tasks on time and meeting deadlines.
\n
