Position Title: Special Education K-12 Teacher Consultant
Reports To: Principal, Superintendent, and Special Education Supervisor
Starting Date: As soon as possible

SUMMARY: Responsible to provide supportive and/or direct services to special education students, general education teachers, administrators and parents/guardians on behalf of students who qualify or may qualify for special education services.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree, current Michigan teaching certificate with a LD and/or EI endorsement in Special Education, and three years of successful special education teaching experience preferred.

Support transition from ISD to LEA programs Attend CST Committee Meetings
Day Treatment
Work Study Academics Site Placement/Visits Accommodations/Modification
Site Development TA schedules/evaluations
Tracking Data Scheduling Student
Present WBL forms to board E so/so Meetings/Contact
IEP/REEDtimelines
Child Find Transfer in Students
Perform student observations when needed Test Accommodations: SAT, M-Step, Mi-Access

Other Support ISD TC model regarding re-evaluations at secondary level, Catamaran Resource, Monitor LRE Data, Attend District SPED Audit, Attend CST Committee Meetings, PD opportunities for all buildings, Assist with BIP/FBA, Monitor FBA/BIPS Data, Documentation Support - MDRs, VI/PI TC support for students, Health care plan support, Serve as a caseload manager, Provide classroom instruction as assigned, Other duties as assigned
