Job Description

Overview As a Solid Waste Engineering Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will be involved in: The design, analyses, permitting and preparation of drawings and technical specifications and construction period services for solid waste management facilities, including coal combustion residual (CCR) facilities, and industrial facilities; General civil/environmental engineering duties; Design of all aspects of landfills: Double composite liner systems; Leachate conveyance and storage facilities; Stormwater conveyance and storage facilities; Landfill gas collection/treatment systems; On-site roadways, and ancillary buildings and structures; Develop permit application documents, contract drawings, specifications and estimates for landfills, transfer stations, landfill gas to energy facilities, and recycling facilities; Preparation of engineering design reports, feasibility studies, and solid waste management plans; Review of projects for compliance with plans/specifications; Strong client and project management skills: Good communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills required; Proficiency with Microsoft Office; An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture. Responsibilities 10-15+ years experience in the design, permitting, and document preparation of waste disposal facilities; Some experience with AutoCad design software; Ability to coordinate the regulatory agency review process; B.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering (M.S. a plus); Professional Engineering (P.E.) Licensure or ability to achieve P.E. within the next two years; Understanding of business principles of consulting projects and related project delivery tools. Qualifications 10-15+ years experience in the design, permitting, and document preparation of waste disposal facilities; Some experience with AutoCad design software; Ability to coordinate the regulatory agency review process; B.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering (M.S. a plus); Professional Engineering (P.E.)
