Join our Cornerstone Church restaurant team as a Server and help create memorable dining experiences for every guest. We’re looking for friendly and service-oriented individuals to take orders, serve meals, and provide excellent hospitality in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Server, you'll work closely with team members to ensure guests feel welcomed, attended to, and appreciated from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave. Job Summary

The Server plays a key role in creating a positive and welcoming dining experience by providing attentive, accurate, and timely service to all guests. This role is responsible for presenting menus, guiding guests through their selections, taking and delivering orders, and ensuring that tables are properly maintained throughout the meal. The Server works closely with other team members to uphold service standards, maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, and respond to guest needs with efficiency and care. Servers also handle payment transactions and assist with opening, closing, and side work duties to support the overall operation of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating as needed.
• Present menus, describe specials or chef’s features, and make food and beverage recommendations.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve orders efficiently while ensuring presentation, temperature, and accuracy meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area by setting, clearing, and resetting tables.
• Refill beverages, replenish utensils, and respond promptly to additional guest requests.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and resolve concerns with professionalism and kindness.
• Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth and timely service.
• Process guest checks, accept payments, and return change or receipts accurately.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe dining environment.
• Perform other duties as required to support the ministry’s overall mission.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Prior serving experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a high-volume setting.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant hygiene practices.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and have a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional special events.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, employees will frequently be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 15 pounds occasionally, and more than 40 pounds infrequently with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Schedule

Wednesday – Sunday 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Schedule may vary according to business needs.

Casual status roles may work up to 25 hours per week.
