About the Opportunity (this is a Hybrid Position)

Meadowhawk Biolabs is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated team member to lead our business development efforts focusing upon the Boston Biohub and other regions of New England/East Coast with support from our Marlboro, MA location. The ideal candidate will have prior experience and demonstrated success selling a variety of drug discovery services with excellence in all phases of client service and business development, spanning the range from identifying and developing new clients through relationship management and retention of existing clients. We are a boutique Contract Research Organization (CRO) founded by an experienced team of industry veterans and private equity firm, this position offers unique opportunities for the successful candidate - expand and further solidify our presence and reputation in this critical biotech hub and contribute to our company successful growth as well as own career development.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Commit to company core values and founding principles of open engagement, transparency, integrity, collaboration, learning, and dedication to excellence.
2. Align with management team to develop annual executable sales plan and deliver quarterly/annual sales targets within designated territory.
3. Work closely and collaborate with operational teams to meet and exceed client’s expectations and communicate effectively both internally and externally.
4. Have an excellent comprehension of sales cycle management, particularly in drug discovery and early development stages; able to deliver desired results from inquiries to sign contracts.
5. Act as a key marketing advocator to participate in all marketing activities including webinars, website feedback gathering, attendance at conferences, tradeshows, symposiums, and other related industry events.
6. Able to convert opportunities through effective communication and timely resolution; provide regular and accurate sales forecasts as primary matrices based on an in-depth understanding of decision-making criteria, process, and timing.
7. Act as “project manager” for the RFP/Quote process for strategic accounts, leading internal teams through strategy development and final proposal deliverables.
8. Support current clients and generate new and repeat business based on an in-depth understanding of their needs and objectives.
9. Coordinate and participate in face-to-face meetings with clients and coordinate and deliver actionable items as needed.
10. Actively contribute and participate in team sales meetings and training.
11. Position will report to VP Sales & Marketing.
12. Travel within U.S and Canada.

Education, Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor and/or Graduate degree in business or science degree desired.
2. 5-10+ years industry experience, including 3+ years sales experience; preferably in preclinical CRO.
3. Individual must possess a client centric, team-oriented mentality to establish and maintain effective, long-term working relationships with internal colleagues and external clients.
4. Proven track record of sales achievements related to sales targets (or related metrics).
5. Able to thrive in fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and working efficiently.
6. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Proficiency in CRM, Microsoft Office required (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
8. Perform and follow established sales procedures with excellent attention to details with CRM, Outlook365 package.
