The Opportunity
We are seeking a Managing Editor & Senior Correspondent for our OT.Today  channel. In this role, you will be the lead reporter, writer, and editor, producing timely and authoritative coverage on:

• Cybersecurity risks in operational technology (OT)
• Business impacts of cyber breaches and OT/IT integration
• Threats to critical infrastructure (power, space/defense, water, ICS, and manufacturing)

This mid-level editorial role is ideal for a journalist passionate about enterprise technology and infrastructure topics. You’ll deliver in-depth analysis, build and maintain industry connections, and serve as ISMG’s in-house resource on OT security trends. You’ll also represent ISMG at events, moderating panels and interviews as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce 3–5 pieces of multi-media content weekly (articles, interviews, analysis/opinion pieces, e-newsletters, podcasts, video, etc.)
• Build industry connections and content sources through reporting and ISMG's OT-focused events.
• Conduct regular interviews with leaders in security and OT sectors for content and research.
• Monitor and analyze OT/critical infrastructure threat trends.
• Align editorial with industry events and ISMG’s broader audience.

Qualifications

• BA in Journalism, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5–10 years producing written/video content, with at least 3 years in cybersecurity, operational technology, or critical infrastructure reporting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of threats to critical industries and OT facilities, or experience covering governmental actions and regulations aimed at protecting infrastructure.
• Familiarity with ICS, SCADA, IoT, telecom, or other critical infrastructure deployments (can be learned on the job if strong in adjacent areas).
• Knowledge of industry standards/frameworks (NERC CIP, NIST, NIS 2, etc.).
• Experience conducting on-camera and live interviews.
• Strong network-building and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• 💰 Compensation: $120,000–$140,000 (dependent on experience)
