Your Role as a School Nurse: - School Health Management - Develop and maintain comprehensive school health services in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
- Collaboration & Communication - Consult with leadership on health policies, advise staff on student health conditions, and communicate effectively with parents, staff, and personnel.
- Health Services & Emergency Care - Provide first aid, manage medical emergencies, monitor communicable illnesses, and ensure immunization compliance.
- Medication & Care Plan Oversight - Administer prescribed medications, oversee emergency medication use, and develop individual health and emergency care plans.
- Record Keeping & Training - Maintain student medical records, document health services provided, and conduct staff training in first aid, CPR, AED, and emergency medication use.
Required Qualifications: - Must possess an active LPN or RN license.
- Previous experience providing health services to children with special needs.
- Previous experience working in a school setting.
