This position requires U.S. citizenship due to government contract requirements.

JOB OBJECTIVE

The Salesforce Developer provides support to the organization through the customization and configuration of the Salesforce platform. The position will build applications, community portals, maintain the database, best practices, reporting, and provide training and support to users.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Ensure optimal performance of Salesforce systems by providing guidance for improvements, changes, upgrades to the system, and support for the implementation of these changes.
2. Customization of objects and updating fields
3. Connect external systems and data to Salesforce using web services APIs, including REST, SOAP, etc.
4. Automate workflow tasks, email alerts, automatic field updates and set up approval automation for processes
5. Update roles, profiles, sharing rules, workflows, and groups to meet security requirements.
6. Configure/import sales leads, contacts, and other data as necessary from external sources to then generate reports and dashboards.
7. Create custom applications utilizing Salesforce Builder and modify page layouts as necessary along with the creation of new fields to best capture data from Web-to-lead forms.
8. Build out Community portals to share information.
9. Provide training to expand user knowledge of the use and expand user system adoption.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree +2 years’ experience or 5 years’ experience with alternate education (i.e. tech school/certifications/associates degree)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods, operate a computer, and perform other light office tasks. The ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally may be required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primarily an office environment with interaction with colleagues and occasional interaction with external stakeholders.

WORK STATUS, SCHEDULE, TRAVEL

Full-time

Monday – Friday

Occasional travel may be required for training or project meetings.
