About Us:

We design and build innovative automation solutions that solve real-world problems across a wide range of industries. From robotic palletizing to custom machine tending cells, we partner with clients to create efficient, reliable, and future-proof systems. We’re a hands-on team that’s passionate about engineering excellence, customer success, and bringing manufacturing innovation back to American soil.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Robotics and Automation Engineer to join our team and help design, build, and integrate cutting-edge robotic systems. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end engineering process—from design and programming to on-site commissioning and client training. This is a dynamic, hands-on position perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robotic and automation systems tailored to client applications using 3D modeling software.
  • Program industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, Universal Robots, Omron, etc.) for applications such as palletizing, case packing, and CNC machine tending.
  • Integrate PLCs, HMIs, and sensors into custom automation cells.
  • Collaborate with sales, project management, and fabrication teams to ensure project alignment, accurate timelines, and successful delivery.
  • Perform system testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and provide on-site commissioning to bring projects to full operation.
  • Deliver technical support and hands-on training to clients during and post-installation to ensure long-term success.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including electrical schematics, control logic, and system manuals.
  • Continuously research and evaluate emerging robotics and automation technologies to keep KRC solutions on the cutting edge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering — or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in industrial automation or robotics integration, including system design, electrical work, and programming.
  • Proficient in programming industrial robots and PLCs; experience with ladder logic, structured text, and motion control is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of sensors, actuators, and industrial control systems.
  • Familiarity with CAD software for both mechanical and electrical design (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, EPLAN).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication and project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site support, installation, and client interaction.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with CNC machining and machine-tending applications.
  • Knowledge of machine vision systems and their integration into automation cells.
  • A passion for innovation, technology, and continuous learning in the field of robotics and automation.

Why Work With Us?

  • Work with a passionate and supportive team solving real engineering problems.
  • Opportunity to grow with a company that values hands-on skill and technical creativity.
  • Be part of reshaping American manufacturing through smart automation.
  • Competitive pay based on experience, plus travel opportunities and real ownership of your projects.
