We’re a hands-on team that’s passionate about engineering excellence, customer success, and bringing manufacturing innovation back to American soil.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Robotics and Automation Engineer to join our team and help design, build, and integrate cutting-edge robotic systems. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end engineering process—from design and programming to on-site commissioning and client training. This is a dynamic, hands-on position perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robotic and automation systems tailored to client applications using 3D modeling software.
- Program industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, Universal Robots, Omron, etc.) for applications such as palletizing, case packing, and CNC machine tending.
- Integrate PLCs, HMIs, and sensors into custom automation cells.
- Collaborate with sales, project management, and fabrication teams to ensure project alignment, accurate timelines, and successful delivery.
- Perform system testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and provide on-site commissioning to bring projects to full operation.
- Deliver technical support and hands-on training to clients during and post-installation to ensure long-term success.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including electrical schematics, control logic, and system manuals.
- Continuously research and evaluate emerging robotics and automation technologies to keep KRC solutions on the cutting edge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering — or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 2+ years of experience in industrial automation or robotics integration, including system design, electrical work, and programming.
- Proficient in programming industrial robots and PLCs; experience with ladder logic, structured text, and motion control is a plus.
- Solid understanding of sensors, actuators, and industrial control systems.
- Familiarity with CAD software for both mechanical and electrical design (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, EPLAN).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel for on-site support, installation, and client interaction.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with CNC machining and machine-tending applications.
- Knowledge of machine vision systems and their integration into automation cells.
- A passion for innovation, technology, and continuous learning in the field of robotics and automation.
Why Work With Us?
