Department Details The swing shift position is designed to support the unforeseen circumstances of shift to shift business operations during peak admission, throughput, and discharge timeframes. Role is direct unit staffing support though taking admissions/assignments at start of shift. Other areas of the role may include supporting RNs with procedures, rounding/assessing quality measures, and ensuring safe patient transport.
The adaptable nurse in this leadership position will have a combination of swing RN shifts from 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM during the week and 12 hour bedside RN shifts based on unit self-scheduling and business need in an every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday position.
3 years of clinical/inpatient nursing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities * Plans and coordinates patient care, assessment, education, triage and various other nursing interventions
* Collaborates with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care
* Empathetically cares for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up along the continuum of care
* Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise
Qualifications Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
