Overview:

• Benchmark Contracting is a general contractor in the commercial sector of the construction industry that specializes in the building of synthetic turf sports fields and running tracks. Not only do we manage subcontractors and provide over construction management of the project, we also self-perform all earthwork and grading activities along with the installation of utilities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in construction management in commercial heavy civil work.
• To be eligible for this position you must have experience and knowledge of excavation, grading, the installation of sanitary sewers, storm drainage systems, waterlines, conduits, curbs, sidewalks, asphalt paving, retaining walls and other sitework amenities.
• Experience with surveying and building earthwork models would be preferred but not required.
• Have the ability to take initiative and work in a fast pace environment.
• Be motivated, organized and professional.

Estimating:

• Acquire and print bid documents.
• Perform quantity take-offs.
• Subcontractor and vendor solicitation for bids.
• Data entry into estimating software.
• AGTEK, Bluebeam, and CLI Estimating experience preferred but not required.
• Apply crews and production rates to formulate estimates.

Project Management:

• Process RFI’s, submittals, and change orders.
• Manage project budgets.
• Be a point of contact between the architect, engineer, owner, owner’s representatives and subcontractors to provide overall project coordination.
• Understand contract documents, specifications, geotechnical reports, and plans.
• Write subcontract agreements and purchase orders.
• Put together project close out documents.

• Pay is based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
