Job Summary

Product Manager specializing in the narrow web flexographic and digital printing industry or industrial equipment applications. Skilled at translating customer needs into high-performing, competitive, and robust capital equipment machinery. Experienced in market research, competitive analysis, product positioning, and value proposition development. Product Manager should thrive in dynamic team environments, drive successful product management strategies from concept to commercialization. Passionate about delivering innovative solutions that enhance industry standards and Mark Andy customer satisfaction.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops business plans and product positioning in the marketplace.
• Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs.
• Develops and manages product and pricing strategies.
• Works with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to develop new products or enhance existing products.
• Develops marketing plans and activities for specific product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement relative to competition.
• Manages the current product line, including commercial options and enhancements.
• Advocates for product lines in industry communications/media.
• Identifies and releases product information/capabilities to sales channels.
• New product launch, sales training and channel development for new and legacy products
• Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to analyze and evaluate complex issues using data available through tools like Salesforce, Pardot, etc.
• Ability to analyze customer’s needs and current market trends.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiar with Voice of the Customer Methods; including market research, interviewing, and interviewing techniques, usability studies, etc.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• BS/BA degree in engineering preferred or related degree with 4 years of experience in technical product management.
• Minimum of 5 years of related work experience. Product management experience a plus.
• Significant experience in segmenting markets based on customer and market demographics.

Work Environment
Moderate to frequent exposure to shop environment; may be exposed to dust, odors, oils, fumes, chemicals, noise and moving parts. Work typically requires the usage of PPE and can require work on the facility’s production floor or customer’s production environment.

Physical Demands
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl and move about facility and/or customer’s facilities. Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds.
