Job Description

Job Summary:

The Plant Production Head will oversee the entire production process within the food manufacturing plant ensuring efficiency quality safety and compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership problemsolving abilities and extensive knowledge of food production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Management:
• Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficient and timely completion of production schedules.
• Implement and monitor production KPIs to achieve optimal performance.
• Coordinate with procurement logistics and sales departments to align production with demand.
• Quality Control:
• Ensure all products meet quality and food safety standards.
• Implement and maintain quality control systems and procedures.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to conduct regular audits and inspections.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead train and mentor the production team fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement training programs for staff development and skills enhancement.
• Conduct performance evaluations and manage staffing levels to meet production needs.
• Process Optimization:
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to enhance production processes.
• Monitor equipment and facility maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
• Stay updated with regulatory changes and ensure the plant is in compliance with all relevant laws and standards.
• Budget and Cost Management:
• Manage the production budget control costs and optimize resource utilization.
• Analyze production data and prepare reports for senior management.
• Collaborate with the finance department to forecast and manage expenses.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Food Science Engineering Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 810 years of experience in a production management role within the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards regulations and quality control procedures.
• Proven experience in implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
• Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data identify trends and make informed decisions.
• Proficiency in production management software and tools.
