UPMC St. Margaret is hiring a flex full-time evening shift Pharmacist to support our Inpatient Pharmacy. 

This position will work 7 shifts on during the evening shift (2:30 PM -11:00 PM), and 7 shifts off. The 7-day stretch starts and ends on Thursday. Holidays are worked if they fall during the scheduled work week. You will have two weekends off per month. You may be flexed up to 80 hours per pay and the hours are subject to change based on the department's business needs. On-site parking is available.

The Pharmacist is a valued step on the career ladder, candidates will be placed in the right job title due to experience.

Responsibilities:

• Review and manage patient medication records for allergies, drug interactions, and duplications.
\n
• Identify and report adverse drug reactions promptly.
\n
• Interpret and evaluate physician orders to prepare and dispense medications for inpatient and outpatient care.
\n
• Prepare and dispense IV solutions using aseptic techniques.
\n
• Organize daily tasks and supervise pharmacy staff.
\n
• Fill prescription orders following State and Federal regulations.
\n
• Use technology (e.g., computer systems, Acu-Dose, Robot-Rx) to provide pharmaceutical care.
\n
• Provide drug information and education to healthcare professionals and students.
\n
• Communicate with physicians and nurses to clarify unclear orders.
\n
• Maintain the formulary by minimizing non-formulary drugs and promoting rational drug therapy.
\n
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
\n

• Graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy
\n
• B.S in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
\n
• Required: Current licensure as a Pharmacist in practicing state
\n
• Entry Level
\n
• no previous experience required; pharmacist experience preferred.
