Job Description

Here's a new opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to work in Palatine, IL at a therapeutic day school. They have a part time opening for SY 25-26. The position is 2-2.5 days per week.

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist with experience in pediatrics/school-based settings to join our team in Palatine for the new school year.

*The position is 16 hours per week during the school year.
*The majority of the population are students with a dx of autism, level 1 and 2. All are highly verbal, but have some regulation needs and some struggle with externalizing behaviors.
*You'll be the only OT on campus, but you'll have support from speech therapists, art therapists, music therapists, vocational counselors, restorative interventions and teaching and support staff
*We have 70 students today and 75% of those have OT minutes, there will be another OT on site working three days a week to share caseload
*Our ideal candidate is someone who takes initiative to support students' sensory needs across the building and through OT groups
*Familiarity with IEPs is highly preferred
Qualifications: You will need to hold a Master's Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy and a current state license (or be eligible for same). At least one year of experience working with kids.
