southeastern New York state (Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Psychologist/Psychometrist - Clinical Psychologist
Job type: Part time, day shift 8am-4pm.
Compensation: $75-$78 pr|hr

Our client is seeking a part-time licensed Clinical Psychologist to assist in integrating additional health services.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Conduct initial screenings and mental health assessments to determine service needs and recommend treatments.
2. Provide diagnosis-based treatment to adults and families with severe and persistent mental illness.
3. Deliver individual and group psychotherapy in a clinical setting.
4. Administer psychological and diagnostic evaluations for clients.
5. Conduct social service assessments, including mental health and substance use histories, to address patient needs.
6. Collaborate with care teams, including case managers, psychiatrists, therapists, and primary care staff, to ensure comprehensive care plans.
7. Establish and maintain connections with relevant social service agencies.
8. Participate in quality improvement programs, peer reviews, and policy development meetings.
9. Apply motivational interviewing techniques and interventions based on stages of change.
10. Utilize evidence-based models to support children, families, and adults with various mental health and behavioral conditions, including trauma and PTSD.

Requirements:

1. Doctorate in Psychology from an accredited institution.
2. Licensed Psychologist in NY.
3. Familiarity with Medicaid and managed care payer guidelines.
4. Experience with harm reduction and motivational interviewing approaches.
5. Bilingual proficiency (English|Spanish) is preferred.
