A Part Time Cashier performs routine cashiering and clerking duties, exercising good judgment and diplomacy in dealing with customers.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

1. Accurately operate cash register complying with Policy and Procedures.
2. Under direction, price and order merchandise; stock shelves.
3. Balance cash drawer ensuring accurate compilation of daily cash report sheet.
4. Assist in setting up merchandise displays, advertising signs and promotion displays.
5. Understand and adhere to the check cashing policy.
6. Maintain record of employee purchases.
7. Assist customers by answering any questions and/or making suggestions.
8. Maintain general cleanliness at workstation.
9. Responsibilities for other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

0-6 months experience as a sales clerk or cashier.

EDUCATION

High School Degree or equivalent. Texas Book Company
