Job Overview:

Silvconnect is looking for Spanish Interpreters based in Latin America (LATAM) to provide Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) services. As an interpreter, you will facilitate communication between Spanish-speaking individuals and English-speaking professionals in medical, legal, business, government, and customer service settings . This role requires accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism to ensure smooth communication.

Responsibilities:

Interpret live conversations between Spanish-speaking individuals and professionals, ensuring accuracy, neutrality, and confidentiality .

Provide interpretation in healthcare, legal, financial, social services, and emergency situations .

Follow industry standards and ethical guidelines to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

Adapt quickly to different subjects, accents, and speech styles while maintaining clarity.

Accurately relay cultural nuances and context to avoid miscommunication.

Maintain composure and professionalism , especially in high-pressure or urgent situations.

Requirements:

✅ Native or near-native fluency in Spanish (LATAM) and English .

✅ Experience in Over-the-Phone Interpreting (OPI) or Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) is preferred.

✅ Certification or formal training in interpretation is a plus.

✅ Strong listening, memory retention, and note-taking skills .

✅ Ability to remain neutral and professional in all conversations.

✅ Cultural awareness to accurately interpret within diverse regional contexts.

✅ Technical requirements: Stable internet connection , reliable computer or phone , and a quiet workspace .
