Position Overview The Organizational Development Specialist will interface with senior managers to understand organizational dynamics and proposed changes, develop processes, training programs, and tailored coaching to enhance organizational effectiveness and minimize productivity losses. Knowledge of organization development practices, assessment tools, surveys, and serving as an industry expert are essential. Responsibilities include: Providing expert consultation and technical services to program managers. Developing plans, goals, and criteria for evaluating program effectiveness. Executing strategic planning and implementation at all levels of the organization. Establishing metrics for organizational development and leading special projects. Skills Required Knowledge of leadership development, instructional design, and organization strategies. Experience with coaching, change management, and business acumen. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and virtual meeting platforms like Zoom and Google Meet. Strong communication, training development, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze, develop, and deliver presentations and reports. Experience with assessments, surveys, and supporting leadership development initiatives. Ability to operate a PC and provide expert consulting and coaching. Effective collaboration and communication skills, with a high ethical standard. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree with at least 10 years of change management experience, or Master’s Degree with at least 8 years of change management experience. Change Management Certification (e.g., PROSCI) required. Additional Details The salary range is approximately $59,000 - $200,000/year, depending on various factors including experience, skills, and organizational needs. The primary work location is in the Washington D.C. Metro area, with remote work possible but not guaranteed. Travel expenses are not reimbursed for non-local candidates.
