This is an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive cancer care in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.

Why You'll Love This Role:

About the Role:
The Oncology Nurse Practitioner will provide specialized care to hematology-oncology patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. You'll work collaboratively with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, following established treatment protocols, triaging patients, and managing complex care needs, including chemotherapy side effects and oncologic emergencies.

You will also serve as a key representative of the oncology team, building relationships with patients, families, and the broader community. Whether you're providing patient education, assisting with procedures, or overseeing clinic operations, every day brings meaningful and impactful work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage patient calls and coordinate care with physicians and other providers

  • Provide pre-treatment chemotherapy education and ongoing patient support
  • Assist with infusion center procedures and manage first-response care for infusion-related emergencies
  • Collaborate on medical protocols, quality initiatives, and policy review
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for office staff and participate in oncology-focused committees

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner in Tennessee with certification by the American Nurses Association (ANA) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
  • Certification in Oncology (OCN) preferred
  • Experience in hematology-oncology care is a plus
  • Strong collaboration, teamwork, and relationship-building skills

Locations:

  • Oak Ridge: Primarily an inpatient role with opportunity to build strong hospital relationships
  • Lenoir City: Primarily outpatient role with occasional inpatient consults; opportunity to independently oversee clinic one day per week and participate in upcoming facility expansion

Life in East Tennessee:
Experience the perfect balance of vibrant city living and stunning natural beauty.

  • No state income tax
  • Outdoor adventures including lakes, mountains, and scenic parks
  • Rich sports culture and University of Tennessee traditions
  • Affordable cost of living and welcoming communities
  • Thriving dining, arts, and entertainment scene

If you're ready to grow your oncology career and make a real impact in patients' lives, we'd love to hear from you!
