A cleaner's job description includes maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of buildings, offices, and other facilities. Cleaners perform a variety of tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning : Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum and sanitize surfaces and fixtures
- Sanitizing : Sanitize high-touch areas
- Stocking supplies : Stock and maintain cleaning supplies in an orderly manner
- Safety : Follow safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
- Reporting : Report any maintenance or repair issues
- Maintenance : Some cleaners may be responsible for essential maintenance support
Skills
- Attention to detail : Notice small areas of dirt and grime
- Physical stamina : Move furniture, mop, and vacuum for extended periods
- Time management : Complete all cleaning tasks within the allotted schedule
- Organizational skills : Keep cleaning supplies and equipment in order
- Communication : Understand instructions and communicate effectively with others
- Experience : Experience cleaning in a similar environment
Compensation and Benefits: - Competitive hourly rate $20-$25 based on qualifications and experience.
