Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking reliable and compassionate NEMT Drivers to provide safe, courteous, and timely transportation for clients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, therapy sessions, pharmacies, and other approved destinations. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, punctuality, and a genuine concern for the well-being of passengers.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport clients to and from scheduled appointments and destinations.
Provide door-to-door assistance as needed, ensuring passengers’ comfort and safety.
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of assigned vehicle.
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining communication with dispatch.
Assist passengers entering and exiting vehicles, including those using mobility aids (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.).
Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and fuel usage reports.
Comply with all traffic laws, company policies, and state/federal transportation regulations.
Report any incidents, vehicle maintenance needs, or delays promptly.
Provide excellent customer service with patience and respect.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old .
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle report.
CPR/First Aid certification (preferred not required will be trained.
Experience driving professionally or transporting passengers is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist passengers with mobility challenges. must be able to push a wheelchair.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance.
Work Schedule:
Flexible scheduling available (days, evenings, weekends).
Must be able to work occasional overtime or on-call shifts as needed.
