Position Summary:

We are currently searching for a Remote Medical Assistant who will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clinical duties to provide support virtual providers and nurses with patient care, clerical duties, and onsite activities during night clinic hours. Working closely with the Hospital Discharge RN, they will aid in preplanned visits, deliver patient care, and uphold efficient communication within the healthcare team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required.
• Previous experience working in a community-based health center or similar setting. 
• Medical Assistant Certificate or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English required.
• 1-2 year of related experience required (may include internship/externship experience).
• Flexible work schedule
• Proficiency with computers and software.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.  

Key Duties:

• Assists the call center nurse in ensuring that patients have information required for the scheduled visits such Provide support during night clinic hours, assisting providers with patient care and administrative tasks.
• Assist with post discharge appointments, referrals, DME orders.
• Assist with the collection of discharge records, medical histories, and treatment plans.
• Perform other job-related duties as required

Starting Compensation: Minimum: $21.00/hour ($43,680 annually); Maximum: $21.00/hour ($43,680 annually)

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:

Candidates must possess availability to work Hybrid- working primarily from home, working flexible schedule of Monday 1pm-10pm, Tuesday 10am-10pm, Wednesday 2pm-10pm, Thursday 3pm-10pm and Friday 1pm-10pm and able to report onsite when required.
