Job Description

• Experience in Oil and Gas facilities, pipelines and associated piping systems designs.
• Material selection
• Sizing and specifying mechanical equipment
• Work with lead engineer
• Calculation checking and other design tasks.
• Conduct facility process surveys, determine bottlenecks, make recommendations to remedy the bottlenecks.
• Perform basic checks like found in API RP 14C and 14E.
• Create construction scopes of work.
• Work with piping designers to develop drawing deliverables and bills of materials.
• Work with and coordinate other disciplines to support the project requirements.
• Create and maintain project status reports.
• Maintain budgets and schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering - required
• Registered Professional Engineer or EIT – required
• Field experience
• Knowledge of appropriate software
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and writing to a diversely educated audience
• Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Professional and detail oriented
