About the Role
As a Ready-Mix Driver, you’ll be the face of our company, ensuring safe and timely delivery of ready-mix concrete to a variety of projects and customers. You’ll operate modern equipment in both industrial and residential settings, often working independently while knowing our team has your back.
Main Responsibilities
· Safely operate ready mix trucks to deliver concrete to job sites and company locations
· Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections by DOT standards
· Load and unload equipment and materials as needed
· Monitor gauges and vehicle systems during operation
· Maintain accurate mileage logs and delivery records
· Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws
· Perform minor truck maintenance and keep your vehicle clean and orderly
· Support your team and supervisors with additional duties as required
· Deliver quality service and represent our company with professionalism and courtesy
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED required
· 3+ years’ experience driving trucks of similar size and equipment preferred
· Valid CDL A or B license required; must maintain an active, clear record
Work Requirements
· Must be 18+ years old
· Pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
· Hold a valid DOT medical card
· Commitment to safe work practices and PPE usage (company provided)
· Willing to work up to 6 days a week with overtime as needed
· Flexible to work nights, weekends, and travel for assignments
· Team player with a positive attitude, strong communication, and customer service skills
· Ability to train and mentor others if experienced
· Meet company, state, and federal driving standards
Knowledge & Skills
· Expertise in operating mixer trucks and related equipment
· Strong math, recordkeeping, and basic reading skills
· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
· Attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and in a team
· Experience in securing and transporting heavy or oversized loads
· Professional, courteous, and effective communication with customers and coworkers
Physical & Work Environment
· Ability to lift to 100 lbs., bend, stoop, squat, and climb as needed
· Prolonged sitting and driving may be required
· Work in various weather conditions and environments
· Exposure to moving parts, noise, and occasionally to chemicals and elevated work areas
· Strict adherence to all OSHA/MSHA regulations and safety protocols
