We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Test Technician to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and conducting a wide range of tests on our power equipment to ensure they meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Responsibilities
As a Permanent Lead Test Technician, your primary duties will include:
1. Overseeing and conducting testing on a variety of power equipment, including switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, and other high-voltage equipment.
2. Reading and interpreting electrical schematics to identify potential issues and ensure all components are functioning correctly.
3. Adhering to ISO17025 standards to maintain the integrity and accuracy of all testing procedures.
4. Using Python and LabVIEW to develop and implement automated testing procedures, improving efficiency and accuracy.
5. Coordinating with other departments to facilitate the smooth running of testing procedures and resolve any issues that may arise.
6. Training and mentoring junior technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
7. Assisting in the development and implementation of quality control procedures, ensuring all products meet our stringent standards.
8. Documenting all testing processes and results, providing detailed reports for management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Permanent Lead Test Technician role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in power distribution and high voltage testing.
3. Extensive knowledge of power equipment, including switchgear, circuit breakers, and transformers.
4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
5. Experience with ISO 17025 or similar quality management systems.
6. Proficiency in Python and LabVIEW for automated testing.
7. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff.
9. A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field would be advantageous.
