P osition Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Consultant with 11+ years of hands-on experience in CAD/CAE applications development, support, and maintenance. This role requires a proven leader capable of overseeing engineering application support teams, planning and driving support transitions, and providing expert technical guidance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multiple CAD/CAE platforms across Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, and MBSE domains.

K ey Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering application support teams working with CAD/CAE tools, including Siemens, Autodesk, PTC, MathWorks, ECAD, Ansys, and others.
  2. Lead, plan, and execute support transitions, ensuring smooth handoffs and knowledge transfer for engineering applications.
  3. Deliver hands-on technical expertise to troubleshoot, optimize, and innovate across complex CAD/CAE environments.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for system integration, performance tuning, and tool deployment.
  5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering productivity, streamline workflows, and improve user experience.
  6. Oversee license management and ensure compliance with software vendors and organizational policies.
  7. Serve as a key escalation point for complex technical issues and lead resolution efforts.Facilitate communication and collaboration between engineering, IT, and business stakeholders.
  8. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, training materials, and best practices.
  9. Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in CAD/CAE tools and engineering software to guide strategic planning.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 11 years of hands-on experience with CAD/CAE applications including:
  2. Siemens (NX, SolidEdge, Nastran, FEMAP, Mentor Graphics)
  3. Autodesk (AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault, 3DS Max)
  4. PTC Creo
  5. MathWorks (MATLAB, Simulink)
  6. ECAD and Ansys
  7. Proven experience leading and managing engineering application support teams.
  8. Strong expertise in CAD/CAM/CAE tools and processes—must-have.
  9. Demonstrated success in managing support transitions and driving technical projects.
  10. Skilled in troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing hands-on solutions.
  11. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across organizational levels.
  12. Experience with license server management and vendor relations.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Familiarity with automation and scripting to support tool integration and optimization.
  2. Experience with PLM systems, MBSE, and enterprise engineering environments.
  3. Knowledge of cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and IT infrastructure related to engineering software.
  4. Background in regulated industries such as aerospace, automotive, or defense.
