Jack In The Box - ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER 5 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Position Summary Responsible for managing restaurant operations, in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. Primary responsibilities are to provide excellent internal service, external service, and build restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Key Duties & Responsibilities Internal Service: Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees, monitors staffing levels, ensures training systems are implemented, identifies and develops internal candidates for management, and supports a friendly, fun, clean, and safe restaurant environment. External Service: Manages daily activities to achieve excellence in restaurant operation, ensures guests receive exceptional experiences, monitors adherence to systems and food safety requirements, responds to guest concerns, and maintains a positive brand image. Higher Profits: Partners with the Restaurant Manager to analyze operational and financial performance, identifies trends, implements improvement plans, protects the brand, monitors costs and budgets, and develops action plans to increase restaurant sales and profitability. Food Quality/Safety: Maintains strong awareness of food quality, safety, and cleanliness, and is dedicated to serving great food to guests. Business Management: Handles ambiguity, makes high‑quality decisions, delegates effectively, is organized, and pays attention to detail. Other: Performs related duties as required and assigned. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 1+ years as a Shift Leader or Assistant Manager (100% certified in all workstations) or 3+ years as an Assistant Manager with some P&L responsibility. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be at least 18 years old, complete Assistant Manager training, be ServSafe certified, speak, read, and write English, possess basic math skills, analytical and organizational abilities, and own a valid driver’s license with a personal vehicle for travel as required. Physical Requirements: Stand and walk 85‑95% of the shift, lift 10‑65 lbs, move freely throughout the restaurant, operate restaurant equipment, drive a motor vehicle, and use a computer keyboard.
