Jack In The Box - ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER Giants Baseball & Softball Camps Position Summary Responsible for managing restaurant operations, in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC), and Brand Promise. Primary responsibilities are to provide excellent internal service, external service, and build restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Key Duties / Responsibilities Internal Service: Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees; monitors staffing levels; ensures training systems; identifies and develops internal candidates for management; creates a friendly, fun, clean, and safe environment; motivates employees; complies with labor laws. External Service: Manages daily activities to achieve operational excellence; ensures guests receive an exceptional experience; monitors food safety requirements; responds to guest concerns; maintains brand image. Higher Profits: Partners with the Restaurant Manager to analyze performance, identify trends, execute action plans to increase sales and profitability; monitors costs and adherence to budget. Qualifications Education High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience Internal: Minimum 1 year as Shift Leader or Assistant Manager in a customer‑service environment; must be 100% certified in all workstations. External: Minimum 3 years as Assistant Manager with some P&L responsibility. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Minimum 18 years old; must complete Assistant Manager training classes and be ServSafe certified. Effective communication, basic math, analytical skills, organization, self‑starter, computer knowledge. Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle for deposits and travel. Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk 85‑95% of shift; lift 10‑65 lbs; operate equipment and drive; operate computer keyboard.
