Position Summary Responsible for managing restaurant operations, in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. Primary responsibilities are to provide excellent internal service, external service, and to build restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Key Duties/Responsibilities Internal Service: Recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees. Monitor staffing levels, implement training systems, develop internal candidates for management and team leader roles, and create a friendly, clean, and safe restaurant environment. Motivate and inspire employees while recognizing and rewarding performance. External Service: Manage daily activities to achieve operational excellence. Ensure guests receive exceptional experiences by properly training employees and holding the team accountable for consistent guest service and food quality. Monitor adherence to systems, procedures, and food safety requirements. Higher Profits: Partner with the Restaurant Manager to analyze operational and financial performance. Identify trends, develop action plans, and use data to increase sales and profitability while protecting the brand and maintaining budget and goal adherence. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: Internal Promote: Minimum 1+ year as Shift Leader or Assistant Manager with 100% workstation certification. External Recruit: Minimum 3 years as Assistant Manager with P&L responsibility. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: 18+ years old, completed Assistant Manager training, ServSafe certified. Proficiency in English, basic math, analytical skills, organizational skills, PC knowledge, valid driver’s license, and personal vehicle for travel. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, lift 10–65 lbs, move freely, operate equipment and a computer keyboard.
