Southeast MI landscaping company is currently searching for a full-time year-round Irrigation Manager . This position is responsible for leading a team of irrigation technicians in irrigation installation, irrigation system maintenance, and landscape lighting installation. The position also requires participation in our winter snow and ice management department.

Although this is a comprehensive list of the expectations, this is a live document that will change as the needs of the company grow and as the position evolves.

This position is a management position. Salaried position, health care benefits, paid PTO days and retirement savings plan are available for this position.

Overview:

• Extensive knowledge of all types of irrigation systems (Residential, commercial, lake pump, etc.)
• Experience with estimating repairs and new installations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedule work to be performed by crews.
• Monitor and instruct crews as needed throughout the day.
• Increase the knowledge of all technicians.
• To engage with clients to explain issues with the system and get approval for repairs/replacement.
• Work alongside your team as needed.
• Meet or exceed quality and productivity goals set by the company.
• Report weekly on your department in management meetings.
• Participate in our winter season snow management department.
• Continually participate in training programs that relate to your field.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience of 2+ years in the irrigation industry leading irrigation teams.
• Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal.
• Competitive nature and a drive to excel.
• Proficient with common computer software programs and a willingness to learn industry specific software.
• Chauffeurs license
• Well organized and an understanding of the importance of punctuality and attendance.
• Requires prolonged standing or walking and extended periods of bending, stooping, digging, and lifting.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Working knowledge of 2-Wire systems.
• Ability to program, monitor and adjust computer-controlled irrigation systems.
