Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Job Title: Inpatient Travel Pharmacist
Location: Northeast Iowa
Housing: Provided / Covered
Assignment Details:
Schedule: Monday Friday, day shifts
Duration: 13?week contract (with potential to extend)
Start: ASAP
Role & Responsibilities:
Perform order verification and ensure accurate medication orders
Supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring workflows stay efficient and pliant
Consult with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff on pharmacotherapy decisions
Participate in clinical interventions, medication reviews, and follow-ups
Uphold hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices
Support inpatient pharmacy operations in a smaller hospital setting
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Some prior hospital / inpatient pharmacy experience
Licensed in Iowa, or willing and able to obtain an Iowa temporary license (valid for up to 3 months, renewable once) Justia Regulations
Strong clinical judgment, munication skills, and ability to adapt in smaller hospital environments
