The Senior Associate Field Network Cabling Installation Engineer is a developing subject matter expert, responsible for supporting the design, installation, maintenance, and management of network cabling systems within the organization's facilities, including data centers, offices, and remote sites. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and scalability of the network infrastructure to meet the communication and data transfer requirements of the organization. Key responsibilities include supporting planning and execution of network cabling installation (copper and fiber optic), pulling, terminating, and testing cables, collaborating with network engineers and architects, ensuring proper cable routing, labeling, and documentation, utilizing cable testing equipment, certifying cables, inspecting and maintaining cabling infrastructure, troubleshooting network cabling problems, implementing cable management solutions, managing cable runs, adhering to safety protocols, creating and maintaining documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise under guidance, and staying updated with industry trends and technologies. The role requires proficiency in cable testing equipment and network cabling tools, knowledge of network protocols and basic networking concepts, problem-solving skills, effective communication, commitment to safety, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and developing project management and decision-making skills. Academic qualifications include a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or related field, with preferred certifications such as BICSI RCDD and Cisco CCNA. Required experience includes moderate level experience in network cabling installation and maintenance within a similar IT services organization. The position involves hybrid working with some remote work permitted and requires 24x7 availability for support, travel up to 25%-50%, and possession of a valid state-issued driver's license. Physical requirements include ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and perform detailed visual and manual tasks.
