Candidates will work year-round. Work will be performed in our Alexandria, MN shop. Requirements 2 year AAS degree in Diesel Technology or 4+ years of training and experience in working on heavy trucks Regular, consistent attendance and regular overtime at all assigned job sites Valid Driver's License Class D Acceptable motor vehicle record Ability to work cooperatively with others Physical strength and endurance to perform all principal duties and responsibilities Responsibilities Analyzes operation of systems and components of heavy trucks to determine performance using engineering specifications and test equipment. Inspects mechanical and electrical systems, diagnoses and repairs systems. Disassembles systems, examines parts for defects and excessive wear. Repairs or replaces defective parts, adjusts settings and reassembles according to specifications. Operates electronic testing equipment, precision instruments and gauges, hand tools, portable power tools, welding and cutting equipment and cranes and hoists. Welds and fabricates parts as needed.
