Employees are paid at an hourly rate plus time and one-half for overtime hours worked. Work weeks can vary from 5-8 hour days to 4-10 hour days for the employee’s regular schedule. Eligible for paid time off (PTO) after waiting period. Eligible to participate in 401(k) and receive company contributions after waiting period. Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and repair heavy diesel trucks. Service light service equipment and light trucks. Perform repairs including but not limited to hydraulic, fuel, exhaust, brake, suspension, electrical, and emission systems. Perform preventative maintenance. Able to follow written and verbal instructions. Adaptable to changing work environments, competing demands, and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Qualifications Minimum 3 years experience troubleshooting and repairing problems with heavy diesel trucks. Employees must provide their own safety-approved work boots. Employees must provide their own tools and locking tool box. Physical Requirements Ability to sit/stand, walk, climb, bend/twist, crouch/crawl, and push/pull required. Ability to lift/carry upwards of 50-75 lbs. for short distances. Valley Waste Service, Inc.
