Today, we have 12 Cafés (and growing), a strong online presence, AND national distribution for food service (schools, restaurants, and offices) and eventually retail grocery. Java House presence in the marketplace continues to rapidly grow and will invest in variety of marketing activation tactics. Our product portfolio ranges from bottled coffee, bottled concentrate, boxed coffee, & Peel ‘N Pour Pods (think K-Cups but better).We are also expanding into new territories with revolutionary new product ideas.

This is a unique opportunity to put your mark on a growing business by elevating how the brand is presented to our consumers. This position will be based in Carmel Indiana at our Clay Terrace location.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We’re looking for a talented and qualified Graphics Designer with at least 2+ years of professional experience. The Graphic Designer will have responsibility for developing and modifying retail packaging, digital assets, social media images, collateral, point-of-purchase, and sales materials for the Java House Brand. We are looking to bring new, creative approaches as well as establish brand standards moving forward.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Create packaging graphics, from initial concepts through print-ready file.
• Create graphics and digital assets for websites, banners, and social media placements, leveraging digital design best-practices
• Design and prepare print-ready files for consumers, sales presentations, in-store point-of-purchase, and other placements.
• Work within technical specifications for each project.
• Translate business goals, key messages, and other creative brief elements into compelling visual solutions.
• Bring modern, fresh approaches to your designs to ensure they enhance the way our brands are perceived in the market.
• Ability to present work to management

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong proficiency with Mac versions of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat.
• Positive, can-do attitude with a drive to learn and grow within a fast-paced working environment.
• Proven ability to execute visually inspiring solutions to creative challenges.
• Experience creating a variety of print materials, including 3D packaging.
• Understanding of printing processes, ideally including Flexo, on various substrates.
• Experience in page layout and multiple print processes.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines.
• Role is based in our Carmel, Indiana office (i.e. not a remote or work-from-home role) with the potential to start as a Freelancer/Contractor, with goal to transition to full-time employee status.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in related fields (Design, Fine Arts, Communications, Marketing)
• Adobe Creative Suite: 3+ years of experience
• Retail Packaging Design Experience strongly preferred
• Collateral Development or Point of Purchase material design experience
