We offer full service generator service and repairs on Generac, Kohler, Cummins Briggs and Stratton and other standby generators systems in homes and businesses in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Northern Delaware. We are hiring a Full-time  Generator Technician  to perform in-the-field maintenance and repair services to natural gas and diesel generators as well as automatic transfer switches and other related electrical components. We are looking for self-motivated technicians who enjoy the challenge of working on a variety of power systems, who have outstanding attention to detail, good communication skills and reliability.

Your responsibilities will include  providing maintenance and repairs, in the field, on a variety of standby generator systems, controls and transfer switches on equipment from Generac, Kohler, Cummins and other major manufacturers. You will travel to local homes and businesses and provide routine maintenance service as well as major repairs on the engines and electrical components of these generator systems. You must be able to troubleshoot problems, and be able to follow available service manuals and wiring diagrams to return these systems to good working order. You must be able to communicate effectively and courteously with our customers and you must be proficient in the use of a laptop computer. You will be required to file electronic reports and other documentation in a professional and timely manner. You must be available to work on some evenings and on weekends as needed and able to respond by phone, email and in person during and after hours if the need arises.

Requirements the successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge of generator operation and must have the ability to troubleshoot and repair these systems, including electrical parts and components. A strong knowledge of small and big block engines and the ability to effectively repair or replace components thereof is required. You must have previous experience working with power generation equipment and gaseous generators and using generator maintenance-related software and hardware. You must possess a valid drivers license and proof of insurability. You must possess moderate computer skills, be willing to work in adverse weather conditions, capable of lifting 50 pounds, stooping, kneeling, squatting and standing for long periods of time and able to pass a DOT physical exam.
